112th Festival Update
The 2024 Festival is now well advanced with most events planned and in place.
The Festival will start on Friday 8th March 2024 with the Jazz Festival Night, this year to be held at Chipping Norton Theatre, followed by Junior Choirs the next morning. The Festival will end 2 weeks later with the Festival Concert on Saturday 23rd March.
There are two Adderbury concerts on Sunday 10th featuring Viv Mclean - piano, performing
Bridge “Phantasie” Piano Trio
Beethoven Piano Sonata no.23 op.57 “Appassionata”
Schubert Piano Trio in B flat
The Folk Night will be at The Chequers public house and will be led by Paul Bryan on Friday 15th March.
The North Cotswold Chamber Choir conducted by George Parris and featuring Susie Allan on Piano will be performing to celebrate Springtime - new life, light and abundance. This will be on Saturday 16th March at the Town Hall.
A Family concert on Sunday 17th at 3pm will be Story Telling through music - The Adderbury Ensemble will narrate and perform two of the 4 Season's by Vivaldi with tea and cakes during the interval.
After a successful launch in 2023, The Shauni McGregor Young Performers' Recital will return on Sunday 17th March
The Schools Workshop will be run by Ben Goodall and will be on the 19th March at the Town Hall.
Thursday 21st March the second Adderbury Ensemble concert featuring Viv Mclean, to include
Dvorak Piano Quintet no.2 op.81
Already in the planning are Bursary grants to encourage youngsters to perform against a background of rising living costs, to apply for one of these in confidence simply email entries@cnmf.org.uk
